Stop click farms on mobile app campaigns
Click farms use real devices and real people to generate installs that defeat device-signal fraud detection, draining your UA budget and corrupting your LTV data.

Click farms are the hardest form of mobile fraud to detect with device signals alone
Click farms are physical operations, sometimes entire warehouses of real mobile devices, where low-paid workers or automated rigs generate installs and post-install events on behalf of fraud networks. Because they use genuine hardware and real network connections, they produce device fingerprints, IP addresses, and app session data that is indistinguishable from a real user at the device-signal level. Standard MMP fraud detection, which relies primarily on device ID blacklists and CTIT rules, cannot identify click farm traffic by signal alone.
The cost of click farm fraud extends well beyond the direct CPI paid. Click farm operators are increasingly sophisticated, simulating early in-app events such as tutorial completions, first sessions, and even shallow purchase flows to pass quality-threshold filters that UA managers use to weed out low-quality installs. Your retention curves appear normal for the first day or two, then collapse, but by that point you have paid for the installs and the post-install events. Your LTV models, built on these early signals, produce overestimates that drive budget allocation errors.
How Tapper stops click farms on Mobile
Three steps from connection to clean data, no engineering required.
01
Connect Tapper to your MMP and UA networks
Tapper integrates with AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava, Singular, Branch, and your ad network accounts to observe the full click-to-install-to-engagement chain across all campaigns.
02
Device cluster and behavioural patterns identified
Tapper detects click farm activity through cluster analysis, identifying when device IDs share network environments, exhibit identical usage patterns, or show session behaviour inconsistent with genuine users.
03
Fraudulent installs excluded before LTV calculation
Click farm installs are flagged and excluded from your attribution data before they enter cohort analysis, keeping your LTV models and ROAS figures anchored to real user behaviour.

“Tapper played a key role in improving the efficiency of Du's performance marketing activity by addressing traffic quality issues within campaigns. Following implementation, Du achieved a 13% reduction in CPA and an 8.6% increase in order rate, demonstrating a clear improvement in conversion quality and overall campaign effectiveness.”

Joseph Elbcherrawy
Client Leadership Director, Mindshare, a WPP Media Brand

“During our Tapper trial for INFINITI, we uncovered low-quality traffic that wasn't visible inside the platforms. Removing it delivered a 14% uplift in conversions and an 11.4% reduction in CPA - a meaningful efficiency gain for INFINITI's 2026 growth plans.”
David Barnes
Data & Technology Lead, Omnicom Group

“With Tapper's protection we were able to identify and block invalid clicks in real time. The impact was immediate as our cost per acquisition dropped by 30% and ROAS improved significantly. More importantly, Tapper gives us the confidence that our campaigns are reaching genuine customers, which makes it truly invaluable.”

Dimitris Bakas
Senior Performance Marketing, Public Group

“We started using Tapper to get better visibility on where our clicks were coming from, and ended up cutting wasted spend by over 12%. The performance uplift was clear, and for the first time, we could trust the numbers we were seeing. It's a total game-changer for campaign integrity.”

Stuart Parkin
Director of Operations, Regit
“Tapper's blocking technology purifies our paid media traffic which roughly equates to a 36x return against its subscription costs. It's certainly one of the easiest-to-implement tools in our entire marketing stack.”

Reno Mindemann
Head of Growth, Kama Capital

“We've been using Tapper for over a year now, and it has become a core part of how we run paid media. Invalid traffic was always something we knew existed but couldn't really act on. Tapper changed that. We're now saving up to $50K per year, and on PureSquare specifically, we saw around a 20% decrease in CPA. Based on these results, we decided to roll it out across other ventures under Disrupt as well.”

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about stopping click farms on Mobile App.
Click farms use real devices with valid device IDs, real network connections, and genuine app installs. They generate the same signals a legitimate user would produce at the device level. MMPs that filter fraud based on device ID blacklists and CTIT windows have no mechanism to identify this traffic. Behavioural analysis across the full session lifecycle is required.
Click farm operators script early in-app interactions using automation tools on real devices. They complete onboarding flows, trigger first-session events, and in some cases simulate shallow purchase interactions, all within the time window UA managers use to assess install quality. The sessions look plausible for day one but show abnormal patterns when examined across the full user lifecycle.
CPI campaigns on ad networks with limited publisher transparency are most exposed. App install campaigns on smaller ad networks, incentivised install placements, and campaigns using third-party traffic sources carry the highest click farm risk. Tapper monitors all traffic regardless of network source.
