Tapper does not classify traffic based on a single signal like session duration. A real user who clicks a search ad and leaves in five seconds will have normal mouse movement patterns, a genuine browser environment, a residential IP address, and consistent device attributes. A bot may have similar session length but will show one or more anomalies: a headless browser environment, datacenter IP, absent or programmatic mouse movements, or device attributes that do not match the claimed user agent. Multiple signals must indicate fraud before a block is triggered, keeping our false positive rate below 0.1%.
