Check reinstalls on your mobile retargeting campaigns
Invalid clicks can claim credit for users who were coming back anyway. Tapper checks every reinstall your MMP reports against four fraud rules and stores each one with the campaign and publisher behind it.

Invalid retargeting clicks can take credit for organic returns
Mobile app retargeting brings lapsed users back to your app, and the payout, usually per re-engagement or per action, creates room for abuse. A click timed to land right before a user returns can take the credit for a return it did not cause, and your organic return rate looks lower than it is.
High click volumes against your retargeting links can also crowd out legitimate attribution and inflate apparent reach. From MMP data alone, genuine returns and misattributed ones are hard to tell apart, and ROAS built on them can push you to over-invest in retargeting or to cut it.
Tapper checks each reinstall your MMP reports. The four rules look at the time from click to install, click injection, a location that does not match, and datacenter, VPN or proxy networks.
How Tapper checks your retargeting on Mobile
Three steps from connecting your MMP to seeing your installs in your dashboard.
01
Tapper works with the major mobile measurement partners and stores the installs and in-app events your MMP reports, each with its campaign and publisher.
02
Each reinstall is run through four rules: install timing, click injection, a location that does not match the one the MMP reports, and datacenter, VPN or proxy networks.
03
The Mobile tab of your Tapper dashboard shows your installs and in-app events by campaign and network. Your MMP data and your campaigns stay as they are.

Frequently asked questions
On Android, a malicious app can see when another app is about to open or install and fire a click at that moment. Your MMP then credits the click's source with a return it did not drive. Tapper's click injection rule checks whether the attributed click arrived after the install began or right at its start.
Click injection itself is mainly an Android issue. The click to install time, location and network rules apply to reinstalls on any platform your MMP reports.
Tapper's fraud rules run on installs and reinstalls. In-app events are stored with their campaign and publisher.
No. Tapper only checks installs and leaves your MMP data, your attribution and your campaigns exactly as they are.
